Holly Madison once shared her feelings about the 'disgusting' things she 'despised' doing with Hugh Hefner during her time living in his California mansion.
Madison, now 45, was only 22 when she began a relationship with Hefner, the Playboy founder who passed away in 2017.
Despite a 53-year age difference, the couple was together from 2001 to 2008, although Hefner, a father of four, also had other favored companions like Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson during this period.
Madison, a former Playboy model and reality TV star, has disclosed numerous details about life in the mansion over the years. This includes strict rules that residents had to follow, such as a ban on wearing lipstick.

Another rule Hefner’s girlfriends had to adhere to was attending group sex parties—an event Madison has previously discussed on Owen Thiele’s In Your Dreams podcast.
The mother-of-two stated that while sex was a ‘very different story’ when she and Hefner were alone, it became really ‘disgusting’ when others were present.
“I hated it. I made it very clear that I hated it,” she expressed.

Madison noted that her one-on-one moments with Hefner were significantly more 'normal', adding: "If it was just me and him, it was much more normal than you might think."
The Girls Next Door star continued, claiming that the age difference in their relationship never bothered her, though she often faced criticism from others.
"There was a time when I couldn’t post anything without some idiot commenting, 'Oh, old balls,' or something similar," she recounted to Thiele.
"Maybe some people’s balls do get old and nasty, but I’ve never seen such a thing."

Madison also used the podcast to explain how she and Hefner would keep the lights off during intimate moments, adding: "There's a saying: 'All cats are grey in the dark.'"
According to the former model, the frequent sex parties always occurred on the same two days of the week.
"It was consistently Wednesdays and Fridays after the club. It was always exactly the same because that's just how he preferred to live his life," she told Buzzfeed in 2015

According to Madison, all of Hugh's girlfriends were expected to participate, as she explained: "They understood it was a sort of unspoken requirement for living there, and it was expected.
"And it had kind of a chore vibe, in my opinion."
In 2022, Madison claimed her ex-boyfriend was also extremely controlling about her appearance.

Appearing on A&E’s Secrets of Playboy, she explained: “I reached a point early in my time there where I broke under the pressure and felt like I needed to look exactly like everyone else.
"My hair was naturally very long, and I decided, 'I’m going to cut my hair so I can at least look a little different'.”
Madison said that cutting her hair allegedly caused Hefner to ‘flip out’, harshly telling her that the haircut made her ‘look old, hard, and cheap’.
She said: “I remember there were times, particularly in the first few years I lived there, when I felt trapped in a cycle of unpleasant things and didn’t know how to escape.”
