Travis Kelce’s former girlfriend, Maya Benberry, issued a stark, six-word warning to Taylor Swift when she first discovered their budding relationship during the singer's Eras Tour.

Back in 2016, Maya, now 33, participated in and emerged victorious from the dating reality TV show, Chasing Kelce.

The seven-episode programme featured Travis, now 35, selecting from a diverse group of 50 women, each representing a state in the US, with the hope of finding ‘the one’.

Hailing from Kentucky, Maya was chosen at the conclusion of the programme to be the girlfriend of the then-newly signed Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

However, their relationship was brief, with the couple parting ways shortly after the TV show wrapped up. A second season was never produced.

Upon discovering her ex-boyfriend was dating 35-year-old Taylor Swift - to whom he is now engaged - Maya accused him of infidelity.

In a statement to the Daily Mail, she expressed that she considered the ‘Bad Blood’ singer to be a ‘fun girl with a beautiful spirit’.

“So I wish her the best of luck, but I wouldn’t be a girls’ girl if I didn’t advise her to be smart!,” she added.

“I’m sure by now she has honed the ability to discern who is genuinely there for her and who is merely using her.

“I can only hope she emerges as the teacher in this scenario rather than the student. Only time will tell, but as the saying goes, once a cheater, always a cheater.”

Following the accusation, an alleged source close to Travis informed TMZ that he had only been romantically involved with Maya for a month after Chasing Kelce.

Furthermore, these allegations were dismissed as merely ‘a poor attempt by someone to gain her 15 minutes of fame.’

In a statement to Page Six, another insider claimed the couple was not together long enough for the American Football icon to be unfaithful to her.

They added: “They dated for literally less than three months, and they were contractually obligated not to announce their breakup.

“When she says, ‘Once a cheater, always a cheater,’ she doesn’t really know what she’s talking about. This is clearly a bid for her 15 minutes of fame.”

Travis faced infidelity rumors in 2020 when he and his former girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, now 33, briefly split.

Promptly dismissing the speculation, the Ohio native stated: “This is fake news... a lie... and not the reason Kayla and I broke up... please direct all your negativity elsewhere.”

It was later claimed that the couple permanently parted ways in 2022 due to Travis making Kayla pay for ‘half of everything’ and being ‘cheap’, as reported by People.

Travis also denied this rumor, appearing on The Pivot Podcast to say: "You'd have to be out of your mind to think I never helped her or gave her a couple thousand to grab some food or she gave me some money to get some food.... we were in a relationship for five years.

“A hundred dollars here, a hundred dollars there wasn't even a consideration.”

Nicole also refuted the claims, saying: "Do I look like someone who would split anything?" she questioned on the Unapologetically Angel podcast, branding the rumor 'ridiculous'.

"He addressed that too, though. I don’t even know why that even became a thing.

"That was never an issue in our relationship, but it definitely became a rumor on the internet."

Earlier this year, Kayla shared her experience on Fox’s Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test, revealing how challenging it was to endure such a public breakup.

"Experiencing a public breakup, to be candid, is overwhelming.

"I’ve never been through anything like it. Being reduced to a headline - to something as trivial as someone’s ex-girlfriend - I feel like if I complete this, it will have a significant impact on me."

However, there seems to be no bad blood between Kayla and Taylor, as the latter stated: “I really like, like, her. I think she’s very talented.”
