Doctor injects Botox into one side of her face and reveals shocking effects

Have you ever been curious about the true effectiveness of Botox? Some individuals swear by its benefits and regularly receive treatments every few months, while others remain skeptical about such procedures, regardless of their non-invasive claims.

Botox works by obstructing nerve signals to muscles, which results in their relaxation and subsequently reduces wrinkles or frown lines.

Additionally, Botox injections can be utilized to alleviate certain health issues, such as excessive sweating and migraines.

The effects are temporary, meaning that eventually, they fade away, necessitating another session.

Last year, a doctor specializing in ‘Aesthetic & Regenerative Medicine’ shared a video on Instagram to demonstrate the effects of Botox, also known as botulinum toxin.

“Facial muscles either lift or depress the face,” Dr Bita Zadeh Farrell explained.

“When the muscles that lower the face (platysma and DAO) are injected and relaxed with a Neuromodulator like Botox, the muscle that elevates the mid-face (zygomaticus or cheek muscle) becomes more prominent, thus lifting the face!”

In the video, Farrell shows a comparison between the two sides of her face, one treated with Botox and the other left untreated.

“This can help diminish the appearance of marionette lines, jowls, frown lines (also known as RBF or sad face), and the nasolabial folds,” she added.

“It also lifts the neck, sharpens the jawline, and makes the cheeks appear fuller and more elevated. The results typically last 3-4 months, and any FDA-approved Neuromodulators can be used.

“Now I should inject the other side to balance it out.”

Naturally, many social media users were amazed by the results.

“The side with Botox looks years younger,” one person commented, while another expressed gratitude to Farrell for the ‘informative’ post.

Another individual remarked: “Incredible. So educational!”

After her video gained popularity again, Farrell recently addressed some of the online discussions on Instagram, stating she shared the clip ‘to educate’ and ‘demonstrate how thoughtful muscle balance can naturally shape a face, and how facial expressions are deeply tied to anatomy, not merely lines and wrinkles’.

"The core of the message that matters most to me is: Education. Awareness. Responsibility,” she elaborated.

“I never sought attention. I merely wanted to help people appreciate the artistry behind aesthetic medicine — it’s not about freezing faces, but restoring balance, emotion, and beauty in a way that still feels authentic.”

Farrell expressed feeling ‘overwhelmed with gratitude’ seeing her message ‘resonate with so many people around the world’.

"Thank you to everyone who believes that medicine and education can coexist with beauty,” the doctor stated.

Naturally, as with many procedures, there are risks associated with Botox.

What are the potential side effects of Botox?
