Severance star Britt Lower delighted fans with a clever Easter egg during her Emmys acceptance speech last night (14 September), sending the internet into a frenzy.
The American actress, 40, won the award for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her dual role as Helena, the daughter of Lumen's CEO, and Helly R, in the Apple TV show.
For those unfamiliar with the series, it premiered in 2022 and features a star-studded cast including Adam Scott, John Turturro, and Christopher Walken, among others.

The show follows a group of employees at a biotechnology firm called Lumon Industries, who undergo a process known as 'severance'.
This procedure erases the employees' memories of their personal lives while they are at work, and they have no recollection of their jobs once they return home.
However, the appearance of a mysterious colleague outside of work triggers a quest to uncover the truth about their jobs.

The second season of the show premiered on 17 January, and in March, it was announced that season three is in development, much to the excitement of fans.
After Lower received her Emmy, she expressed during her acceptance speech: “Firstly, it’s an honor to be mentioned alongside such an incredible group of artists.
"Wow. I share this award with my heroic cast and crew, whose work inspires mine."
She continued: "Thank you to my mom and dad, my brother, my husband, our kids, our co-parents, and our chosen family. I love you all dearly."

Lower added: "Thank you for this, and thank you for Helly R, for choosing me."
But sharp-eyed fans quickly spotted something written on the back of the paper she brought on stage - three words.
On the back of her speech notes, 'LET ME OUT,' was inscribed in black.

One fan simply wrote on Twitter: "So f**king cool," while another added: "Brilliant".
"That’s so meta I love it," remarked a third enthusiastic Severance fan, while a fourth commented: "She is so f**king brilliant. I love her."
